Clothing Suggestions

How many outfits to pack
One hour session: 3 outfits
Two hour session: 6 outfits

Have a dress rehearsal
The night before your session have a clothing run through. Put all your outfits together from head to toe. This is a great way to make sure you have all the essentials packed. Often jewelry, tank tops, matching undergarments and socks are forgotten.

Basic clothing recommendations
When choosing outfits, keep in mind the most important thing is that you like them. If you feel good, you’ll look good! Bring a variety of color. Try not to bring four blue outfits even if it is your favorite color. Vary the style, all one look can get repetitive. We also recommend bringing one outfit your parent(s) like. We want to make them happy too!

Slimming Suggestions
If you plan to bring sleeveless tops we recommend also bringing a jacket or sweater to throw on for a few images. Tank tops often emphasize your arms. Shorts and skirts are cute, but not for every outfit.

Don’t forget the little things
We recommend you bring one pair of sandals. Even if you don’t plan to wear them in pictures, they are easy to throw on outside and walk around the property. We often have you carry heels or bright white shoes to avoid them getting dirty. Be sure to bring jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, hair products, undershirts, matching under garments, tank tops, hats, scarves or anything else you can think of. Girls, beware of your bra straps showing while wearing dresses and tank tops.

If you can’t decide...
Bring along a few extra choices and we will be happy to help you decide what to wear. We have a lot of experience knowing which outfits will photograph best.

Glass Glare
If you plan to wear glasses we highly recommend removing the lenses. Sometimes glare cannot be avoided outdoors.
